The original description of the arms (shield) is as follows:
“Sa. a fesse ar. between three trefoils ermine.”
When translated the blazon also describes the original colours of the Eaves arms as:
“Black; A middle third silver between three clovers of ermine.”
Above the shield and helmet is the crest which is described as:
“Three legs in armour, united at the thigh, flexed at the knee and spurred; all naturally coloured.”
